It is sort of a gift for both Racethewind10 and Asteriski. Who I talk to (and flail a lot at) over Star trek pairing and Bering and wells. VIOLA. Some weird Uber crossover.

Starfleet investigatory department of advanced or unusual technologies. Founded in 2165, 4 years after the founding of the federation. These are the adventures of the U.S.S Moreau. Their mission is to seek out new artifacts where ever they may find them. To boldy go where no Agent has gone before.  

Helena* is your resident Engineering Borg!Bajoran and Myka is your Trill Scientist.

So I want to fic this, and I will, but you have NO IDEA WHAT YOU JUST DID TO MY BRAIN. I literally want to write an entire AU where Myka is the Science officer aboard the U.S.S Athena, and Helena was a member of a deep space Federation colony that was attacked by the Borg. She was assimilated at 6. The Borg is all she really knows. And, and, The Athena finds the remnants of a Borg Sphere (Not sure about the timeline, so I haven’t figured out who attacked them) ANYWAY, they find a Borg sphere shot to hell, but there are several life signs. Helena is the only one strong enough to survive, but her link to the Collective has been severed and at first she almost goes insane. The Captain is ready to let her die, but Myka refuses. She works with Doctor Vanessa and together they stabilize Helena’s body. But then its a fight for her mind, because Helena didn’t want to leave the Collective. 

So there is all sorts of conflict and anger and FEELS as Helena’s humanity slowly, painfully re-emerges and Myka realizes that she’s falling for this woman with all her brilliance and her complications.

But Myka is never quite sure how far she can trust Helena, until one day, nearly 2 years after they found her on the Sphere, Myka’s away team is attacked by some Borg. Too busy fighting the ones in front of her, Myka doesn’t realize the rest of the team is down and her back is unprotected until Helena steps in front of the Borg just about to sticks its tubes in her neck and kills it. Myka looks at her and says something like “You could have let him, I’d have been out of your way and you could have gone back to the Collective. Isn’t that what you wanted?”

And Helena looks at her like she’s trying to figure out how to explain thsi stupid human feeling she’s having and finally says “But its not what you wanted.” 

AND EVENTUALLY THEY FALL RIDICULOUSLY IN LOVE AND MYKA BECOMES CAPTAIN OF HER OWN SHIP AND HELENA IS HER CHIEF ENGINEER AND THEY FIGHT AND BICKER AND EXPLORE THE GALAXY AND AT NIGHT THEY GO BACK TO THEIR QUARTERS AND MAKE SWEET SWEET LOVE. (Clearly I need to think out the actual plot more than this BUT YOU GET THE IDEA OK?)
